Wherever you are is home

Mario in our home, August 2016

I am tired tonight but committed to getting this post done today (okay, so technically it’s tomorrow). The picture above is of our house as it was being built last year.

Looking at it tonight it’s symbolic. It reminds me of our relationship and how walls are being rebuilt and new things are happening because of all that has taken place this past year.

We had an idea of how this house was supposed to look once the foundation was laid, but we didn’t know exactly how it would look when finished. And it’s been like that for our marriage.

Even though we got keys to our “finished” home last December the house is still unfinished in many ways. Things need to be hung and plants need to be planted. It is a work in progress as are we.

This house will weather many sunny and stormy days and will hold the sounds of both laughter and tears and so will our marriage.

Tonight’s pictures are a reminder that our marriage is like our house and God is the Master Builder of it and will be faithful in doing so.

For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God. Hebrews 3:4

Thank you for reading and for encouraging me in this blogging journey. Your comments and support have made all the difference.
