You have survived

“O Shepherd. You said you would make my feet like hinds’ feet and set me upon High Places”.

“Well”, he answered “the only way to develop hinds’ feet is to go by the paths which the hinds use.”

You have survived high pressure days. You have survived near death experiences. You have survived stupid mistakes. You have survived other people’s stupid mistakes. You have survived bad days. You have survived good days. You have survived being misunderstood. You have survived so much, dear soul.

And not for nothing.

About three years ago I read the book, Hinds’ Feet on High Places. I totally recommend it. It changed my life. My perspective was shifted to look at scary and hard places in life as gifts.

It’s a choice to go higher. It’s a choice to take those paths where we can’t see past the next bend and need to trust.

I need to be reminded today, and maybe you do too, that we are survivors. We are on a journey that has high places we’ve never been and we will want to turn back and go back to the paths we know.

Let me say this to you and me today: DON’T TURN BACK. STAY ON THE PATH.  DON’T CHEAT YOURSELF. Press forward down that path. The path will be smooth sometime along the way again and when we get there we will know more and appreciate more because of the rough and rugged spots.

God sees the whole path and knows the best way for us. Let us trust He loves us so much that He will keep us on the path that sets us free.

“For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.” Psalm 18:31-33

Happy Sunday, and I will see you on those high places.

With all my heart,

Sonia
